The food was good quality, which helped make up for the chef's customer service, which seemed off that day. The drinks service was worse. A tall, lugubrious lady behind the bar sent us to the other bar to order, even though it was only a few steps for her and meant walking halfway round the pub for us. Perhaps hospitality isn't the right line of work for her. We'd come in hoping to eat while visiting family, encouraged by the earlier reviews. We sat in the smaller room on the left as we entered. It's a real shame, as I wanted to like this pub. I guess foreigners from the Black Country just aren't the thing for this 'team'.

12th December 2025. I'm absolutely fuming and will never visit again. I ordered a pint of lime cordial with soda, a pint of Holden's stout and a bowl of chips. The stout for my wife was £4.00, and the chips in a basket were £4.00. The lime and soda, made with a dash of lime and soda from a large bottle, came to £5.60! When I went back to ask about the price, the barman entered 90p for the lime and said the till only lets him enter small 200ml bottles of soda at £2.65 each. He had put two on the bill. No refund or anything else was offered. I've never come across a worse rip off for lime and soda. I also asked where Holden's Brewery is located, since the pub sells mostly Holden real ales. The same barman and his kitchen staff said they had no clue. Robin Hood still going strong!

The kids' meals were £10 each and weren't worth even £2. The food was awful: tinned chilli from the specials menu and soggy chips. Everything seemed microwaved or straight from a can. We wasted £60 and didn't eat any of it. Honestly, the worst food I've ever had.

The locals made this a welcoming visit, and the staff were some of the nicest people I've met. My friend has trouble walking, and everyone was so helpful and respectful. The food was excellent too. Parking is tricky in this town, so having a good car park really came in handy.

We stopped for lunch and sat inside, though I'd have chosen the outdoor seating on a nicer day. There are lovely views across the bridge. The staff were pleasant, and my panini was tasty and filling. There's a nice range on the menu, and the place has its own car park.
