The Briarfields

The rooms were comfortable, and each day brought a little lagniappe. One day it was an unexpected Danish, another a cupcake. But the best part was the hospitality from Charlie and Julie-Anne. They were always cheerful and ready to help. Hospitality students should spend an internship here to learn the finer points of the job. Breakfast was fantastic, with several choices. I always had the full English. I joked to Scottish Charlie that adding haggis would make it a full Scottish, and there it was the next day. The bacon and Cumberland sausage were both better than what we'd had at the 5* Westin London City just days earlier. They'll hear about that too! This is the best B&B we've stayed in. We'll come back on our next visit, so please don't book all the rooms before us 😄.

For a morning walk, the location was perfect, right by the seafront. I was only here for one night while attending a family event, but the host was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything you need. I'd recommend breakfast too. It may have been the best black pudding I've ever tasted, and I've even ordered some online for home. Definitely worth every penny.

We felt very well looked after, thank you! The family run place was friendly and accommodating, with great attention to the small details. It was very clean, the food was great, and the location was convenient, about a 15-minute walk to the coast.

Charlie & Julie-Ann were fantastic hosts and really looked after us during our visit. Wonderful hosts.
