Harbour House Bed Breakfast

We stopped for one night on our NC500 trip. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, and our host gave us a really nice welcome, including a glass of sherry or whisky. Breakfast was delicious with a decent choice. Would recommend, and we’d stay again.

We were welcomed by the owner with whisky and homemade shortbread, and breakfast was fantastic, ordered from the kitchen. Our clean room looked as new and was more than big enough for two, with a decent-sized bathroom and a loch view. The kids had their own room with two single beds. A good place to stay for a night or two, and I’d recommend it if you’re doing the NC500.

The cabins were immaculate and felt like a luxury resort, with plenty of space in the closet, a large bed, big vanity, backlit mirror and spacious shower. They’d thought of everything and provided all we could have needed. We stayed in the luxury cabins by the water, just a short walk along a gravel path from the hotel. The receptionist was so nice whenever we needed anything, walked us back to the rooms and quickly pointed out the important things about the hotel and our room. The view was amazing, and the binoculars they provided made it easy to see the waterfalls across the bay. Breakfast was probably the best we had in Scotland, and there was no need to reserve a time. Everyone in our group said that if we come back to Scotland, we should stay longer in Ullapool so we can stay here.

The loch views were great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were offered sherry or whisky with shortbread. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and breakfast excellent.
