The noise from neighbouring rooms both nights and the cold made for a miserable stay. I needed a heater on the second night. The cups were dusty, the bathroom only had hand soap, and the hair conditioner bottle had been filled with hand soap. It took an hour and a half to get conditioner. The push-fit basin plug was broken and got stuck, leaving the sink full of water. The bath was so clogged with hair and slime that shower water wouldn't drain, and the toilet backed up. There was also a pair of stockings left by the guests the night before, doors banging at all hours, a horrible old carpet and a draughty window. The room was advertised as an upgraded club-room, but felt totally mis-sold with exaggerated marketing. The TV was Freeview, NOT SKY as advertised. The hairdryer was broken, and the cups were too small for the coffee machine. When I wanted to change rooms after giving them a second night, service and response were slow. The duvet in the room they offered was worn and thin, and the cooking and bed didn't look comfortable. Starbucks was closed despite the website saying otherwise, and the booking app and rewards are terrible. This ruined my evening and a special event I was attending. I had a really miserable time and have never complained so much in my life. I also had issues years ago with being consistently overcharged and the gym not cancelling my membership after putting me on the wrong contract. I won't be back or spending any money at this Village hotel again.

Coral, who I believe is a new member of staff, made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived at The Village Hotel gym. She was absolutely lovely and created a relaxed, positive atmosphere around the pool, sauna and steam rooms. I had a great time in the pool and spa area. She also told me about the reformer Pilates and other classes she's running, which I'm really interested in. It was great to see her enthusiasm and initiative. Coral is a real credit to the team.

We were effectively heaved off our table at about 7:30pm, even though our booking ran until 8:00pm and we were still finishing our drinks. Our two young children were mortified and couldn't understand why we had to move when we'd done nothing wrong and had a valid reservation. We'd booked a table at Village Hotel Warrington Pub & Grill from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, were seated on time and enjoyed our meals without any issue. The bar supervisor, Charlotte, made it clear she was in charge and asked us to relocate so another party could be accommodated. Our name was written in chalk on a small blackboard on the table. The event manager, Mike, then came over and also insisted we move. It felt unnecessary, poorly handled and very unprofessional. After previous issues with Village, this was incredibly disappointing and not the service we expected.

Sam was a huge help to me and my partner as we joined the gym. Sam N answered all my questions, explained things clearly and found us great offers, so the process was stress free. We're looking forward to trying the gym and pool facilities this week. Thanks again!

We only stayed one night, which was a shame, and I'd definitely come back. The room was quiet and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. Check-in was straightforward. We weren't part of the wedding party, and Gab at reception quickly changed our room after noticing we'd been allocated one where the wedding group was staying. That meant ours was quieter, which we appreciated.
