The location isn't especially scenic, but it's convenient for town and country walks, and the paid parking right outside was easy to use. Wells and its Premier Inn made for one of our most enjoyable short breaks. The staff were all helpful and polite, and they actually engaged with guests instead of just serving them. Ray deserves a special mention as chef and tourist information guide. He's a real asset to Premier Inn, and the rest of the team follow his example.

The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, and the restaurant served tasty, well-cooked food at fair prices. We stayed in a Premier + room, which was clean, roomy and comfortable, with good furniture and a fridge. The bath was the one drawback: getting in and out to take a shower felt a bit dangerous. If you're staying in Wells, this is a great place. Highly recommended.

The staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Ray was brilliant at breakfast, and the evening chef was great too. Breakfast itself was outstanding. The hotel was clean and in a perfect spot for visiting the cathedral and castle. The restaurant was clean, with new dishes on the menu and plenty of vegetarian choices for me. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Wells, which is a lovely place too. 😊👍

I stayed one night and went out for dinner. Today I got two parking fines, £60.00 each. No one asked for my registration or reminded me to use the pay machine. Being charged for leaving and coming back is frankly extortionate. Apparently the machine is to the right of the exit from Reception, but it's not easy to spot and there are no clear signs. Be aware.

A decent Premier Inn, about a 10-minute walk from the city centre. We could see the cathedral in the distance, and there was plenty of space in the car park. The staff were helpful, and when the light switch in our room caused a problem, they sorted it quickly. The room was clean and decent, and the corridor was very quiet.
