Wood Hall Hotel & Spa

Breakfast had plenty of choice and tasted fresh, though I wish the coffee had been hotter. Harrogate and York were both conveniently located for us. The room was very clean, the bathroom spotless, and the shower had surprisingly strong pressure. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up, and I slept better than I do at home, lol. After a long trip, I appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were without making a show of it. Check-in was quick, and they let us into the room a little early, which helped. I stayed last weekend and was honestly surprised by how good it was. The whole stay felt comfortable and easy. I’d definitely come back.

I was really impressed by the customer care. After I got home, 117 miles away, I realised I’d left my Kindle Scribe pen, which costs £70 to replace, in the conference room. I called the venue and they offered to post it at no charge. It arrived three days later. I didn’t catch the staff member’s name, but thank you for going above and beyond. I was there for a conference, and the organisation was first class. Lunch was very good too.

I’ll be glad to return as a member of Wood Hall when work brings me to Wetherby or the surrounding areas. The health club is a unique facility, with a spa and amazing views, and feels well worth a visit. Thanks to Ami as well, who was very helpful with an admin query. It meant a lot to me.

The body combo spa treatment was fantastic, probably the best I’ve had in years. The food was excellent too, and the room felt luxurious with an unbeatable view over a beautiful setting. Every staff member was welcoming and attentive, and they really went out of their way to make us feel cared for and spoilt. We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay and I can’t recommend the hotel enough. I’d love to come back.
