The staff are lovely and helpful, and breakfast has loads of delicious choices. The Blue Smoke restaurant, the W restaurant, and the bar food were all excellent too. I’d highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed 😀 We’ve stayed twice now and absolutely love it. The rooms are lovely, clean, and sooo comfortable, with gorgeous ESPA products in the bathrooms. Both times there was a complimentary bottle of champagne in the room. This visit, we were also given lovely gingerbread from the famous Grasmere gingerbread shop at check-in.

The main frustration was the limited pool, sauna, and steam room hours for hotel guests, regardless of how many nights they stay. Everyone ends up trying to use them at once, from 17:30-20:00, and day spa visitors add to the crowds. At times it was too busy to really enjoy the facilities. More flexible hours for guests staying several nights would feel more reasonable. The lakeside setting and views from our suite, which had a sitting room, were superb. Food at both restaurants and the bar was excellent, and breakfast was a decent buffet. All the staff were helpful, friendly, and courteous.

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. The rooms were modern and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good quality with plenty of choice. We were in room 313, and the corridor in that section felt a little dated and in need of a revamp. It didn't quite match the lovely rooms or hotel foyer. The spa is a special experience, set in a stunning part of the Lakes. There are different saunas and steam rooms at various temperatures, plus indoor and outdoor pools with beautiful views of the lake Windermere. Staff are attentive and will bring drinks wherever you are in the spa. The complimentary hot chocolates and brownies they handed out were a lovely touch. Couldn't recommend this hotel and spa more.

I came for the rise and dine spa experience on 27/12/25, a treat from my partner for our anniversary while we were spending Christmas in the Lakes. The place is beautiful and spotless, and the thermal spa was out of this world. Every staff member gave five-star service. Sitting in the hot tub with a glass of Prosecco and that stunning lake view was lovely. The views were stunning, and the food was delicious too. They kindly moved me to another table because of the low sun glare, and nothing felt like too much trouble. We've booked another Lakes trip for next Christmas, and I'll definitely visit again, maybe for longer.
