Marriott Hotel Heathrow Windsor

The hotel could use some modernising, as it feels a bit dated. Still, the staff were really helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and the restaurant had a decent selection. There’s also a shop on site with a surprisingly good range of snacks and essentials, handy if you arrive late. Its location near the motorway made getting to and from the airport quick and easy.

The room was comfortable and well equipped, a welcome place to wind down after a busy day. I also enjoyed the food throughout my stay. It was fresh, full of flavour, and thoughtfully presented. I attended a conference and a corporate Christmas party at Delta Hotel Windsor. Both events were very well organised, with nicely arranged spaces and a team that kept things running smoothly. From check-in right through to check-out, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and made me feel valued. Delta Hotel Windsor exceeded my expectations with its professional yet warm atmosphere. I’d happily come back for work, a celebration, or a relaxing break.

The staff made a big difference to my stay. After a long day travelling, they were kind about the late checkout, provided extra amenities, and kept our luggage for us. They were also lovely about accommodating our preferences. There’s a bus stop about five minutes away with the 701/702 London line buses to central London. It’s £3 one way and takes around an hour, which is about the same travel time if you stay in zones 2 or 3. Heathrow hotels are cheaper than those in the other zones, and the nearby bus stop makes this a convenient base for visiting London. Another stop, two or three minutes away, has local buses to Heathrow Central Bus Station, which is cheaper than the Hotel Hoppa buses. The other hotels around Heathrow can be inconvenient if you plan to go into central London every day. This is a four-star Marriott Chain hotel, so it doesn’t present itself as an ultra-luxurious property, despite complaints about the rooms and building. We weren’t keen on the breakfast, either. Toby’s diner is right outside and has much better food for all meals, so I’d suggest skipping the hotel meals and going there instead. All in all, a great stay, and cheers to the hospitality team!

Sorting out the long-stay parking was easy, and there were several car parks to choose from. They give you a piece of paper to put on your dashboard. There’s also a small shop for forgotten bits and pieces, like toothpaste, woops. We found the hotel easily and got a warm welcome from a charming woman at reception. I can only remember that her name began with M, but she suggested how to book our short trip to the airport in the morning and gave us a lovely room, shown in the picture. We chose room service for dinner since it cost the same as eating downstairs. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature just right, so the stay felt very comfortable and seamless.
