Premier Inn Wirral - Greasby

We had a lovely few days away, and one useful bonus was the bus stop opposite the hotel. We could get into Liverpool without driving. We spent several hours at the museum, which had no entrance fee, and its exhibitions were fascinating. The cafe was lovely too. Storm Amy was battering the area during our visit, unfortunately, so we couldn't fit in the Maritime Museum or a ferry across the Mersey. We'll have to come back when the weather is hopefully better. At the hotel, Lindsay gave us a friendly welcome at reception when we arrived Friday, and everyone we dealt with was lovely. The place was clean and tidy, though a bit tired in places. Our twin room was spotless, had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The temperature was just right and we slept well every night. The Greene King pub restaurant is attached to the hotel. Its staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Lindsay arranged a booking for our first evening, when my husband had gammon and I had steak pie. Both were delicious and the service was spot on. We had breakfast booked each morning, with fruit, cereal, pastries and a perfectly cooked full English that set us up for the day. Our only bugbear was that tea and coffee water from a flask wasn't hot enough for us.
