The food was excellent and very good value, and the staff were friendly and highly professional. We sat in the terrace area, where the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended.

The hospitality was outstanding, and the interior looked beautiful. Everything we ate was delicious. The duck leg was tasty and a good-sized portion, and the mushroom starter was especially stunning.

The wine was great, the only real plus. I came for oysters, but they were out. The sautéed mushrooms were so overwhelmed with butter that I couldn't taste the mushrooms at all. I might as well have had a stick of butter at home. The fish stew had balanced flavours, at least, though it wasn't especially tasty. The staff seemed unenthusiastic, and I had to get up to ask for a spoon for the stew. Maybe being part of a hotel means the restaurant doesn't have to work as hard to bring in customers. This meal wasted my time and money.

The food was outstanding at our incredible Sunday Lunch at Hotel du Vin. Ben and Yantshi looked after us, and they were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. We'll be back.
