Hampton Inn Alexander City

I had a very poor experience with one front desk employee. I asked for an extra room key and was told it would cost more. When I asked for a plate and spoon, I was told the hotel didn’t provide those. The employee had given me several keys during my stay, and I returned each one the next day as required. When I later contacted customer service to complain, she said she had no key available and had already given me multiple keys, leaving out that I’d returned them each time. That made the complaint process feel misleading and useless. The unprofessional behavior left me with a very negative impression, and I wouldn’t recommend this location.

I’d stayed at Hampton inn many times over the years, but this visit was a big disappointment. The rooms smelled bad, the carpets were dirty, and I was told the hotel had bed bugs. After one night, I checked out and moved to another hotel.

The rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and professional. I’d definitely book here again.

Everyone was helpful and pleasant, from check-in through the breakfast staff, and I had no problems. The room and bathroom were both clean and very nice. Breakfast was the usual spread: make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, and a really good blueberry scone.
