After a long flight from Philadelphia with two transfers, I reached the hotel at 11 p.m. and found no one at reception. Instead, a young man who seemed stoned asked what I was doing there and what I wanted. I felt uneasy. About seven minutes later, the hostel staff came back and gave me the keys. I was exhausted, so when I saw the dirty mattress pad and pillows after pulling back the covers, I didn't try to change rooms or say anything. I went to bed in my clothes and slept badly. In the morning, the towels were filthy and dusty, as if they hadn't been changed for who knows how long. The breakfast wasn't much either: tea, coffee, juice, yogurt, and muffins with gnats flying around. At least you can eat elsewhere. But when you need sleep and a shower, and the bed and towels are dirty, with no way to know who slept there before or whether it was washed, what kind of service is that?

It's an old place, I get that, but they could at least keep it clean. The towels were dirty, and the whole hotel smelled like marijuana. I stayed one night and wouldn't return unless I had no choice. The room and hotel were horrible.

Stay at your own risk. My video says it all. I don't know when the room was last vacuumed or cleaned. The sheets were nasty, and the towels were even worse.

I've never had a worse experience. When I check out, I always pull the sheets back for housekeeping. This time there was a huge blood stain underneath, and my anxiety went through the roof. I told the manager, who said at least there was a sheet in between. That was awful. I'm still fighting to get my refund. Stay at your own risk.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the prices are affordable. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the area is quiet apart from a couple of trains going by. The hotel is dated, with no elevator, and the beds are hard. Breakfast was average, with fruit, small pastries, waffles, juice, and similar things. Staff smoking by the side entrance left the stairway smelling smoky. The room was basic but comfortable.
