Spark By Hilton Alpharetta Roswell

Our room was roomy, very clean, and nicely set up, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only thing I missed was having a microwave. Check-in was quick, with friendly, professional staff who were happy to help, and the clean, modern lobby felt welcoming. My family and I had a very positive stay at the Sparks Hilton in Alpharetta, GA. It had the quality I expect from Hilton, with just a couple of small areas to improve. We’d definitely book here again.

My wife checked in a few weeks ago, but the room quality was so disappointing that she left after about 5 or 10 minutes. She didn’t use or even touch any of the facilities. She was still charged the full $98 for a day’s stay. I called the manager the next day, and he refused to refund it. Very disappointed.

The property itself was fine, but it smelled like weed when we arrived, and the vent smelled that way too once we turned it on. Breakfast was just cereal and a few bagels, so it didn’t feel worth the price. What really made the stay unacceptable was the late-night service man. After a concert, my husband went downstairs a few times, just to microwave our food, get water, and then apple juice. Each time, the man started talking at him even though my husband barely answered and wasn’t rude. He guessed my husband was 31 or older when he’s 24, said he would “never grow up,” and accused him of probably being on drugs, which he definitely wasn’t. The second time, my husband stood behind a woman in line to ask how much something cost, and the man insulted him. The customer he was helping joined in too, which was strange. On the third trip, he started insulting my husband again for no reason. I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS, but we were astonished. This was unacceptable.

The breakfast was pretty basic, with bagels, corn flakes, and oatmeal packets, but the rest of the stay was great for the price. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the location worked well. I’d stay here again if I’m back in the area.
