I travel a lot for work, and whenever I’m in Amarillo, I choose this hotel because Norma and Akyne make me feel appreciated and at home. They’re attentive, genuinely kind, always greet me with an honest smile, and go out of their way to make sure I have what I need and feel comfortable. I’m only here 4-5 times a year and more than 1,500 miles from home, but their warmth makes a real difference. I hope management finds a meaningful way to recognize them. They’re gems and deserve the very best.

We felt safe leaving our car full of travel belongings here, and the room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. The hotel was quiet, with snacks and drinks in the lobby, so we didn’t need to go out. There was a good selection at the free breakfast, too. Its spot right off the highway made getting back on the road easy, and it’s next to a Buccees, Buffalo Wild Wings, and two other gas stations, so getting what you need is no hassle. A great, worthwhile stop for travelers, and I’d recommend it over the other area hotels.

I’d stay again. The entrance was a little confusing, with two main doors that weren’t clearly marked and no canopy or check-in parking spot. Once in the room, though, I was impressed by how clean everything was. The drawers were open, the microwave door was open, and the A/C filter wasn’t in place. Maybe they planned to come back and finish, or maybe they were showing how thorough they’d been. Either way, it worked on me. The carpet had sayings like “Believe in Yourself,” which I liked. It felt like walking into a motivational seminar or maybe therapy, depending on how you look at it, and was a nice change from the usual commercial carpet. Breakfast was decent, standard hotel fare, and the coffee was good. I only dealt with the staff a little, but they were all friendly and helpful. It was a one-night stand, but I’d definitely return.

Breakfast was fresh and hot, and the usual Fairfield selection hit the spot. The clean, comfortable room had everything we needed after the drive, and the hotel felt safe and well kept. It’s an easy stop for road trips, right off I-40 with plenty of parking. I got a bit turned around because the Fairfield by Marriott Amarillo Central shares indoor access and an onsite restaurant with the Four Points by Sheraton. I went in the wrong entrance first, but the two properties have separate lobbies and staff redirected us quickly, so check-in was smooth. The Big Texan Steak Ranch is a short drive away, and we went there for dinner one night for a fun, classic Amarillo experience. Great value and convenient for a reliable overnight, with no major hassles. Highly recommend for anyone traveling through the Texas Panhandle.

I was very disappointed. I associate Marriott with a clean, reliable place to stay, and this hotel didn’t meet that expectation. The room was next to a major road, so at night it sounded like a drag strip. The toilet didn’t work when I arrived, and I had to take off the tank lid and fix it myself. In the morning I saw a couple of cockroaches on the floor, and the body soap bottle in the shower was empty. I told the front desk associate about everything the next morning. She only said she’d tell the manager. I expected more. There are plenty of nicer hotels within a mile, and I highly recommend one of those instead.
