Cleanliness and the room amenities stood out most, and the stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, though I had to convince them to let me check in late. I’d strongly recommend the place.

My wife and I were in Amarillo for one night at the start of a multi-day road trip, and it was a pretty disastrous stay. The ADA-compliant room was spacious but very dim, and there weren’t any chairs. My wife has a slight disability and asked for one. The manager first said ADA rooms weren't "allowed" to have chairs, then reluctantly had one brought from storage. Check-in itself was quick, but Jimmy P., the owner/manager, could have been more welcoming. We also reported that the soap and shampoo dispensers weren’t working right, but nobody tried to fix them. We had brought our own toiletries, so we used those. The hot breakfast they advertised was a joke: biscuits and gravy were the only dishes available, with no eggs or cereal. The juice machine was broken, the refrigerator with the Dannon logo was empty, and the coffee machine only had decaf. They’d run out of cups, too. The next morning, poor drainage made the walk-in shower overflow across the dim bathroom floor until it was ankle deep. When we asked the desk for help, they hesitated before sending two people with a plunger. My wife had decided to shower anyway so we could get on the road on time. At checkout, the overworked young woman said I’d have to wait until 2 PM for a manager to approve a refund request, though I hadn’t even asked for one. We weren’t going to stay that long. I wish she’d had more authority to help resolve things for guests. I told her they should take the room off the market until the drain was fixed.

For the price, the rooms are decent, and the location is nice. The walls are thin, though. The front desk women make up for it by being so sweet and ready to help. Abby especially has been really helpful to me. She’s the biggest sweetheart I’ve met, beautiful inside and out.

A horrible experience. I came at 10:30 in the morning to confirm the room and ask about possibly checking in early. The morning staff member told me the setup was for four adults, two beds and a sofa bed, and said the room just needed cleaning. She even gave me the room number. She said she’d be there a little after 3, though she only had two cleaners for 20 rooms. I came back at 4, and a horrible woman was at the desk. The morning employee had been sent home at noon, my room had been given to someone else, and the only rooms left didn’t have two beds and a sofa. The desk woman wouldn’t do anything to fix it. We would have stayed for weeks and spent money at the hotel, but because of how that person treated us at 4:30, we’ll have to take our business elsewhere.
