The kids had a great time, and the indoor playground meant we didn't have to worry about their safety. The blanket and bed were both very comfortable. For the price, I can see this as a reasonable option, and the price to quality ratio feels fair. Still, I won't come back. I've learned not to rely on attractive hotel photos. We chose this place based on its pictures. Technically they seem accurate, but the actual impression was completely different. Everything felt old, worn, and in need of a deep clean. There were unpleasant smells in different areas, and our room had such a strong chemical odor that we worried about whether it was safe. The windows were extremely dirty. It was noisy from both sides: the door opened onto an atrium with constant foot traffic, while the windows faced a very loud highway. The pool was locked and inaccessible from every side. Our room had body wash but no shampoo or conditioner. In February, the air conditioning wouldn't heat at all. Whatever temperature we set, it kept blowing cold air, which was awful in winter. Many people in work clothes were staying there, which added to the untidy look and smell. The swings shown in the photos were unusable because they were only a few centimeters from the wall, so there wasn't room to swing.

I like that you can book by phone and get your room door code by text, without having to deal with employees if you don't want to. Housekeeping only comes if scheduled, so you can sleep in. Weekly stays are cheap, pets are allowed, and the free breakfast has no limits that I saw. Bacon is hard to find there, but there's plenty of everything else. The inside is beautiful and there's an indoor pool. I just wish there were more than one location. The part I really didn't like was dog poop all over the place, even by the doors. When I asked why it wasn't cleaned up or why dog owners weren't required to pick it up by law, the answer was, “we are really dog friendly.” I don't want that on my shoes because of lazy dog owners. Other than that, it's a great hotel.

The outside looks nice and there are some good amenities, but the rooms felt very Motel 6. We had to tug at the door to get the lock to open. Most of the outlets didn't work, so we had to unplug the TV or fridge to use the microwave. The website says breakfast is free, but downstairs the only free choices were cereal or waffles and coffee. We don't mind paying for a good breakfast, but this wasn't it.

Update 2: The property issued a refund. I still recommend avoiding this location at all costs. Update: The owner contacted me and said he would refund me if I took down this review. I'm not going to do that, and I still expect the refund. The owner clearly saw that the listing said pets were free because it was changed by the next morning. Being gaslighted by a hotel is something else. I'll add this to the complaint with the attorney general. Original: The listing said pets stayed free, but they tried to charge me $20 at check-in. I got a refund and went somewhere else. Based on the reviews, the business doesn't seem to shy away from shady practices. I submitted a complaint to the Texas Attorney General for false advertising.

The room was loud until 10pm because of the noise echoing from the pool and lobby, and it's right off a busy highway. We won't recommend this hotel. We paid extra for a double queen deluxe instead of a standard room, but it was terrible. One bed was okay, while the other was old, creaky, and uncomfortable. The outlets by the bed wouldn't charge our phones, and the alarm clock was completely broken, left sitting on an old nightstand for no reason. Turning on the heat brought a strong old smell, like the heater might catch fire. There was no bathroom vent fan, and the coffee pot's water compartment had bits of plastic in it and wasn't clean or ready to use. Almost nothing had been updated except the floor and comforters. The room needed paint, and the curtain came loose when we closed it because it was barely hanging by a nail. Breakfast only includes the basics. Eggs, bacon, or anything else cost extra per plate.
