The clean linens and polite staff were the only good parts of my stay, and they didn't make up for the room's condition. It looked dingy and cramped, with poorly covered spots where fixtures had been removed from the walls. Bulbs above the beds were burned out, and one light fixture looked dirty, broken, or both. The main curtain was very dirty, and the shower curtain was stained. The freezer was dirty, and the microwave worked erratically. On the second night we found two small cockroaches in the room; there were more the next night, including one in the microwave. Staff said renovations were underway, but a room in that state shouldn't be rented. I was very disappointed.

The room was updated, clean, and very nice, but what happened with the staff means I never want to return. A cleaner let himself into my room, started arguing with me about something outside his job, got physical, and then stood in front of the door refusing to leave. It was disrespectful and unprofessional, and I wasn't going to let him intimidate or act aggressively toward me. After getting a taste of his own medicine, he ran off to complain to what I guess was the general manager or owner. I was then told to leave, also very unprofessionally. I can't believe someone could start drama and threaten a guest, then run off and play the victim. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, including the rats behind the garbage.

The room was clean, but in rough shape and smelled strongly of some kind of air freshener. It seemed like families were living there full time, with unsupervised kids running and screaming after dark. My heater only blew cold air, so I switched it off. In the morning, there were several piles of ramen noodles dumped on the sidewalk. I won't come back.

The room situation got worse after check-in. We had booked together with our friends and asked for rooms next to each other, but they put us on opposite sides of the hotel. Then a cleaner saw a packet of cigarettes in our room, which we weren't using, and reported us to the manager as if we'd been smoking. She tried to charge us a $250 fine. When we refused, she screamed at us in front of her clients and called the police. We said we'd leave, went out to get food, and came back to find our key disabled while all our belongings were still inside. She had booked the room to someone else and told us to leave without a refund. At check-in, the employees were awful, mean, and completely unhelpful. We came all the way from Canada, and the girl wouldn't even let us use the bathroom. She looked like she was at gunpoint and offered no greeting, not even a smile. The worst experience of my life. Please don't go there.
