Anaheim Executive Inn & Suites

We couldn't find another place because hotels were booked for the holiday weekend, so we had to stick it out. It was a rough stay. The room we were first given wasn't the one we'd booked, and the replacement smelled like someone had just smoked a pack of cigarettes. The photos online don't show what the rooms are really like. Ours was dingy and dirty, the beds were horribly uncomfortable, and one TV didn't work. There were stains on the bedding and couch, the floor was filthy, the bathroom door didn't lock, the shower water wasn't hot, and the Wi-Fi never worked.

Free parking was a plus, and there’s a vending machine for late-night snacks. It’s also close to Disney and other Buena Park attractions. The two guys working when I arrived were friendly and didn’t try anything funny with the deposits. For the price, it’s a decent place. Don’t expect a five-star stay, and it wasn’t the cleanest. If it had been cleaner, I’d have given it four stars.

We paid for two rooms for two nights. The room without bed bugs had roaches, plumbing problems, and spiders. My granddaughter freaked out when she saw them and ran outside. They said they’d move us when another room opened up, then later said none had become available. We were also told they’d refund us for one day if we checked out and found another motel. I don’t recommend this place at all. I was attacked by large bed bugs, and we have pictures. The motel advertised a continental breakfast, but the office said they don’t provide one. They only had a small single-cup coffee maker, and when we asked about coffee, they said Starbucks was inside Target down the street. Management was rude and didn’t care about the problems. They refused to give me an incident report and said they’d contact me by the end of the day, but never did. The itching ruined our family birthday weekend.

My first review gave three stars only because the guy who checked me in was really polite. Then my bag wasn't returned. I called again and again before 24 hours had passed, left voicemails, and sent a message describing the bag and the other items. I made clear it was definitely in the room. They said they'd get back to me, but never did, and I've kept calling since. My tarot cards were among the things that weren't returned. I can't believe I was so careless.
