Marriott Chicago Schaumburg

It's nice overall, especially from the outside, and we slept well. But the room showed wear, with banged-up doors and a damaged bathroom ceiling. The receptionist put us beside a very loud, chatty family who woke us around 6:30am, even though there were at most 40 people on the property all night. We could at least have been placed two doors away.

We had a comfortable, peaceful stay, and everyone on staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very nice. My only complaint is that the bathroom could use a little work.

The indoor pool and whirlpool make for a great way to wind down, and I also like the atmosphere at the bar and the exclusive M Club lounge. Rooms have a modern feel, with atmospheric LED lighting behind the TV and stand-up showers with high-end water pressure. From the 14th floor, the expressway view is elite, especially at sunrise, when the orange sky frames the silhouette of the big city. Since 2020, I've watched the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg grow from a quiet gem into a busy, high-capacity destination. I got used to having the place nearly to myself during those low-capacity days, so sharing it now makes me a little sad. Still, the energy and the stellar hospitality from Vanessa Vongphakdy, Toni, Adesh Patel, and Brad Tuttle make the crowds worth it. Whether you're here for a big event or a private getaway, this place delivers luxury and substance. I suppose I can share the secret, just this once.

The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg is lucky to have the seasoned Latino gentleman working the morning shift at the bar. He's incredibly polite and professional, and his welcoming manner made a real difference to my stay and got my day off to a positive start. That kind of service comes with real experience, and he's a dedicated, refined professional.
