Brookhurst Plaza Inn

The lobby looked nice, and the beds were okay. But the shower pressure was very weak and the water was only lukewarm, not hot. I almost got stuck in the elevator, and we had to pay to use the ice machine.

We’ve been coming here for over four years, always paid on time, and never had a problem with anyone. The rooms are good, but this time an employee, ANTHONY, refused to take us and said there were no rooms available. We booked one on Expedia, where a room was clearly available, then called back. He said yes, there were rooms. I don’t know if he treated me this way because I’m a Muslim woman, but I’m guessing that may be the reason, since he then checked in another couple. It’s a shame for a nice place to have an employee like that, especially in such a diverse area. SHAME.

My first stay here went well. The staff were kind and nice, and my room was clean and tidy. I’d definitely come back.

Really affordable, and we got amenities that Motel 6 doesn’t have. The rooms are enclosed from the inside, so you don’t have to worry about weirdos. Having a microwave and a clean fridge was essential for us, and we got both for the price. The rooms were clean, and when we came back from being out, housekeeping had cleaned and left more towels. Service was excellent. In the morning, a lovely woman let us know there was coffee waiting in the other room. The AC worked great, and the pool and spa were clean. They even matched our Expedia price so we could stay another night. Thanks, brookhurst, for a gr8 experience!
