Signature Anaheim Maingate

The staff were friendly and even brought us fresh sheets to put on the bed, but I won't be back. The sheets were stained and dirty, there were gross hairballs on the floor, and the grout looked dirty and moldy. We kept our shoes on in the shower. The water was warm, but the pressure was extremely low. It’s close to Disney, with an Uber costing around 8-9 bucks to get there, and there’s a Jack in the Box next door. Salty curly fries late at night helped distract us from how gross the room was. The location and price might seem tempting, but don’t stay here. It’s not a “3 star” hotel. The shower had almost no pressure, the towels felt rough as sandpaper, and the linens looked like they’d never seen bleach. On top of that, a bag of souvenirs somehow “disappeared” during our two-night stay. The maid could list everything she’d taken from the room, right down to the number of fast-food cups, but said she hadn’t seen a bag of Disney mugs. I’d spend a few extra dollars and stay a few hotels down.

The room was dusty and dirty, the towels were old and small, and the shower was a bit grimy. The doors let in all the outside noise, and traffic and drunk people at the Jack in the Box drive-through kept us up. Around 1:30 am I heard people banging on doors and screaming. There were also a lot of shady characters hanging around the property. The staff weren’t rude, just not helpful. The price was cheap, $70 for a Thursday night, and parking was free. The bed and pillows were comfortable, with several restaurants within walking distance, including a Jack in the Box right next door. Disneyland is about a seven-minute drive away, though not close enough to walk. I didn’t enjoy the stay and wouldn’t return or recommend it to families.

We booked three nights but left after two, and didn’t get a refund for the unused night. When I showed the front desk guy photos of a cockroach I’d killed, he didn’t believe me. On our second night, after getting back from Universal Studios and the beach around 10 pm, I saw something run across the TV. It was a cockroach. While packing, we spotted two more crawling across the walls. The first night we got in late, around 11 pm, and went straight to sleep. Thin walls meant we woke up to the neighbor’s crying baby around midnight. After getting back to sleep, we were woken again at about 1:30 by two drunk girls fighting upstairs, screaming and throwing things. It kept starting up again until around 4:30. Don’t stay here unless you want cockroaches and no sleep. DO NOT STAY!!!!! 00⭐️
