Solara Inn and Suites

My family and I had a great vacation at Solara Inn and suites. The front desk helped us in a big way during our Universal Studios Hollywood day, and I won't share the details since I doubt they do that for everyone. They really saved our butts. Housekeeping also went out of their way to make my daughter feel welcome, giving the stay a homie feel. Staff were incredibly accommodating, and when we had one issue, maintenance sorted it out while we were at the park. The pool was a perfect temperature for breaks during the busy middle of the day at Disneyland. It took roughly 15 minutes to get to the entrance, and there are plenty of the same eating options you’d have staying on resort, except for the actual Disney hotels. The room was a quality discount motel room, really, with outdoor access and no lobby to walk through, just a checkout desk. If you don’t mind a bit of a walk to Disneyland, this is an awesome Anaheim option.

A spacious, spotless room made this a great place to sleep after busy days at Disneyland. We stayed two days, and it worked perfectly as a home base. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the park or a quick three-minute rideshare. A great bed and breakfast choice for a Disneyland trip, highly recommended.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom while I was showering, which was disgusting and disappointing. The walls and ceilings are also extremely thin. If you don’t want to hear your neighbors, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I had to sleep with AirPods and over-the-ear headphones, and still heard the noise. If you’re used to being the downstairs neighbor in an apartment, you’ll probably be fine. We picked Solara Inn & Suites for Sweethearts Nite since other hotels were ridiculously expensive for a Monday-Wednesday stay. It was nicer than I expected, with tons of free parking. It’s less than a mile away, about a 20-minute walk to Disney. Affordable and nice in some ways, but the noise and cleanliness issues can make or break the stay.

Natalie and Norma made us feel so welcome. Natalie checked us in warmly, and when I needed a rollaway bed at almost 2am on 10/10/2025 because my little nephews kept fighting, she was so helpful getting one for me. Both provided amazing customer service. The beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and the AC worked great. We were offered housekeeping each day from 10/9/2025-10/12/2025, but declined. The laundry machines were very clean too, and I did two loads. I stayed with my parents and nephews for our Disneyland trip, and it was such a relaxing, peaceful visit. The microwave and fridge in the room were great. I wish there were coffee in the lobby, but I bought Foldgers and warmed water in the room coffee maker instead. I was happy they offered late checkout until 12pm, then it costs $30 for every extra hour. This is my new place to stay for Disney trips. Thanks so much, Natalie and Norma!
