The room was clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet. There were no bugs, either. The key card took about 6 to 8 tries to unlock the door each time, and although Priceline said there were no amenity fees, I was charged $11 a day, I’m guessing for the two bottled [source text incomplete]. The elevator has seen better days and could use exterior paint. Still, for a good price, it was a safe, quiet, comfortable no-frills place to sleep, and I’d stay again. It’s near several wedding chapels.
I paid $325 in total and the whole stay was awful. Check-in took forever, then they charged an extra $125 deposit when I arrived. On my last night there weren’t any towels or washcloths left anywhere on the property. How are guests meant to shower? My toilet stopped working too, though luckily they sent someone who knew how to fix it. The shower made a very loud squealing noise that got worse the longer the water ran, so I had to shower quickly. The staff were rude and incompetent, with no respect for paying guests. At night, one woman walked the halls like a correctional officer, apparently listening to conversations, then called from the front desk to say we were loud just after we’d come back to our room. Everything was trash, including the staff. I wouldn’t send a dog here, and I’m grateful I’m local so I don’t have to return. This was a last-minute booking. Avoid this particular Super 8 if you can, or you’ll be even more disappointed than I was, guaranteed.
The room was spotless, easily the cleanest I’ve stayed in, and the cleaning crew deserves credit. The bed squeaked a little when I got in, but it was comfortable overall and I finally got a much-needed good night’s sleep. I was pleasantly surprised by what I got for the price, and I’ll come back and recommend it. Travel getting to Vegas had been rough, but Jesse at the desk made me feel welcome. She was friendly and accommodating. There’s a neat vending machine in the lobby that gives a free item every 20 purchases. I mentioned that the airport machines had charged $5 for water, and she offered me one and pointed out there were two bottles in the room. My room was on the second floor. The elevator looked like it had seen better days, but the room itself was great.
The room was large and very clean, and the staff were helpful. Bed bug protectors over the mattresses helped me sleep peacefully, knowing everything was protected.
I liked the front desk guy, who was really nice and gave me useful tips for getting around on public transport. A security guard also patrolled at night, which helped me feel safer even though the area seemed a bit sketchy. There’s a chapel nearby that gets busy during the day. If you take the Deuce, it’s about an 8-minute walk the rest of the way. A Thai restaurant next door was pretty mid, but it was the only place open late when I arrived. A couple of things were inconvenient. The room cards were buggy, and I had to get them replaced a few times. They don’t service rooms nightly unless you ask, though you do get complimentary water bottles for each night. I requested toothpaste and they provided some, but the tube seemed old or worn out and was hard to use. I gave four stars because of the nightly $11.20 surcharge. I booked directly on the website but was charged another $22.40 for my two-night stay. The website should have been clearer about that, but at that point I didn’t feel I had a choice, so I went along with it.
