The Executive suite felt like staying in someone’s home, with a roomy private apartment, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. We liked that much more than a big hotel room. Marty was warm and helpful, and shared several ideas for things to do around Anchorage. We were glad breakfast wasn’t formally served since we had day trips planned and wanted the freedom to head out early or sleep in. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe to walk around. The coastal bike path was under a 10-minute walk away, a grocery store with a great cafe/bakery took about 10 minutes, and downtown was around 20 minutes on foot. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Anchorage.

We ended up here for one night because everywhere else was booked, and I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to friends. The owners were very nice, and our room was clean, but opening the door onto what felt like a warehouse was unpleasant. The whole place was cluttered with things, and although breakfast was something guests had to make themselves, the kitchen was so hard to navigate that finding anything or cooking felt impossible. If you’re running a B&B, the place should be kept in better order.
