Abode Vue at 3rd 1-bedroom Loft-style Suite

The Vue has changed a lot since I was here years ago. It smells great now, music plays in the hallways, and the front entrance uses fob keys. Both elevators are working, and the rooftop is clean and really nice. I don’t know who the new manager is, but residents say he’s great and making positive changes. The office staff were great too. Good job!

I’ve been here since February, and living here has been awful. I’m down to three months on my lease and refuse to keep paying for these conditions. Rent is over $1,000 a month with utilities, yet the roaches seem to enjoy the apartment more than I do. I’ve decided to hire a lawyer to pursue compensation for the neglect and poor conditions. Please don’t move here. It’s not worth your sanity or mental health, and they’ll probably reply to this review faster than to any of my emails. Management has ignored ongoing pest issues since I moved in. I went five months total without pest control, including January and last month, and ended up with cockroaches throughout the unit, even inside the refrigerator. A sink leak took two months to fix, and it took five months before they replaced or repaired the living room A/C. Emails and requests go unanswered. I have to visit the office to hear the same empty promise that someone will come soon, and nothing changes. I asked for rent abatement for the months I lived with pests and other problems, but management acts as if they can’t issue rent credits. We’ve also had water and hot water problems for almost two weeks. They said they’d get back to me about compensation, but I know they won’t. When I first moved in, I found two used heroin needles in the closet. The thermostat doesn’t work, it’s basically decoration, and I can’t control the temperature in my own unit. I’ve been respectful and patient, but management has shown no accountability.

I went to see an apartment after considering a move based on the online photos, and the place was shockingly dirty. The unit they showed me was gross, and the gym looked nothing like the pictures. Those photos are fake, and the listing is false advertising. They talk about key card entry, but what about the residents? There were people coming and going, and it didn’t feel right. It seemed like everyone had a Pitbull, and they had to move the people from Dosker manor over there. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

There are plenty of problems, and the place used to be in rough shape, so the work ahead of them was substantial. But they’ve been steadily improving it, and I like living here. The condition it was in wasn’t their fault, it had to do with the people living there, often the same ones complaining about everything. Given all that, I’d recommend it.
