Eagle Peak Guesthouse

Richard and his family welcomed us so warmly, and the home was beautifully maintained with great amenities. We stayed in the basement studio apartment, which was just right for a couples getaway. The upstairs space looked like it would work well for a larger group, too. If you're after Alaska scenery, an outdoorsy feel, and comfortable lodging in a good location, this is a great spot. There's beautiful scenery just a five-minute drive from the house, as the attached picture shows. We'd definitely stay again.

I spent many mornings and evenings walking around the neighborhood, and our weekends were for hiking. The location is ideal for reaching the Eagle River nature center and nearby trails. From the heated floors to the huge windows, everything felt top notch. Richard and Katie took great care of us since we were new to snow and to Alaska. My fiancé Justin and I stayed at Eagle Peak Guest House in the mountain house from winter into summer. You won't regret it if you're looking for serious comfort while still feeling like you're experiencing Alaska.

The bed was very comfortable, and the heated floors felt great on cool mornings. Richard's place had everything we needed, in a peaceful, beautiful location. Eagle Peak Guesthouse was perfect for our time in Alaska, and we'd definitely return.

We loved waking up to the mountain views. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, and the Marson family welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions about the trip. My daughter, her boyfriend Will, and I, Caren Thompson, spent our first three days in alaska at the eagle peak guest house. We had a great time, especially enjoying the sights. My husband and I hope to visit next year and stay there again. I'd recommend Eagle Peak Guesthouse if you want to be outside the city without being too far from it. A very good experience. :)
