Marriott Anchorage Downtown

The front desk staff were the warmest and most gracious I’ve come across at a hotel. Cherry was especially sweet, like an angel, and Nika was kind and helpful. They’d greet us after dinner and ask how the meal went. Valet staff Daniel and Ringo were just as friendly. Our room, 1528, had an awesome view, a very comfortable bed, and a fantastic shower. We had an issue with the room at check-in, but moved the next day to a much better one on a higher floor. My husband and I spent 7 nights/8 days here while visiting from out of state. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return to the lovely Marriott Anchorage.

Dana kept our room really clean throughout the stay and was consistently kind, making sure we had what we needed. She’s sweet and very good at her job. Renz, the concierge Manager, was also wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. He looked after us and suggested good places to eat. He’s the nicest staff member we’ve met at this hotel. The valet team, Henry, Ringo, Daniel and Eduardo, were attentive to customers too. And Edwin at the front desk was very kind. Thank you all.

On weekends the concierge is closed, so we had breakfast at Cafe promenade. Renz looked after us, as always, and it was a pleasure meeting him. He’s great at his job and really cares about people. Putu was so welcoming, always smiling, and just lovely. The cafe staff were amazing. Henry from valet was personable, kind, and excellent at his job. He’d greet us by name, and he was always running to the parking garage. A very dedicated hard worker.

I’m from Washington and this was my first time in Alaska. The view was amazing, and the rooms were nice. The food was okay, though a little pricey. Angel at the front desk was especially helpful. She acknowledged me as a titanium member and made sure I was taken care of. It was a good stay, and I’ll come back in the summer.
