Holiday Lodge Motel Antioch

The room was nice and very clean, but there was a lot of noise all night. People were roaming around screaming and slamming doors. The area seemed bad.

The WiFi worked okay, and the room had a mini fridge, microwave, and TV. There was enough parking, and it’s close to downtown. For the same price and location, I think you get a little more here than at other places. The walls are thin, so we could hear everything from the floor above and the room next to us. We also saw spiders in the shower and a small cockroach in the closet. Aside from those, the place was clean. Just okay, not great.

Roaches were by the microwave, TV, and desk in the second room, and the sheets there were stained with what looked like bodily fluids. I ended up sleeping in the chair and checked out as soon as I could. In the first room, I found bed bugs and roaches. When I told the front desk, the man was rude and denied there were bed bugs, even though I was standing there scratching all over. He did switch my room, but the next one was no better. I stayed one night almost a month ago, and it was the worst. Customer service was horrible, rude, and disrespectful. I filed a complaint with the City of Antioch and never heard back. Inspect any room wherever you stay. This is a horrible motel, and I’m glad I moved out of Antioch. Do not rent a room here.

Two roaches crawled out from behind the TV in the morning when I went to charge my phone in the room’s only outlet. We’d changed rooms the night before after seeing two more crawl up the wall as soon as we checked in and unpacked. I went straight to the desk, and the man offered us a bigger room in another building and assured us there wouldn’t be bugs. I should’ve left then, but it was midnight and we had our baby. He blamed the hot weather, but this place seems infested with roaches. You can pay the same at the Ramada up the street and not have to share your room with roaches. Don’t stay here. The price seemed a bit high for a small motel, even though we’d heard it was nice.
