DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Arlington DFW South

Jason was my grandma and i’s host through air b&b, and he made the process smooth and easy. When I asked for extra help with my medical device, he responded with empathy and full cooperation. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, accommodating, and understanding, and I was over the moon with the customer service. There were a few hiccups. The water was off when we arrived and still wasn't back by the expected time. The sink water never got hot, though we didn't try the shower. These problems may be related to the age of the building. The location felt a bit sketchy. I do wish there had been complimentary breakfast, since we were heading to the airport and grandma wanted something grab and go. I booked through air b&b and unknowingly missed the two-week deadline to leave a review. Thank you to the doubletree team and Jason at air b&b.

The rooms were dark, and the light by the bed barely worked. I ran out of conditioner in the shower, and I need it to brush my hair. I have a business conference today, and there was no English Breakfast tea in the room either. I don't drink coffee. I'm a Hilton diamond member, yet I couldn't get basic supplies normally stocked in Hilton hotel rooms. Very disappointing. I don't recommend staying here.

The rooms were really nice and very clean, and the hotel is well placed for food and activities around Arlington. I wasn't there in warmer weather, but the hotel has a trolly that takes guests to various activities for a very low cost. Corey from Best Majestic transportation is great. He offers buses to sporting events that take you from the hotel and back for a good price, so there's no need to drive through the major traffic near AT&T Stadium and Global Life field. He's super nice, so find him in the lobby to sign up. My one suggestion for management is to staff the restaurant better during busy times like Thanksgiving. Guests shouldn't have to chase someone to place an order and then track them down again for the bill. I'd still strongly recommend staying here.

I checked in around 5:30PM, after being told at the front desk that there would be no water until 5PM. Cold water finally started around 6:45PM. I went out and came back around midnight, but there still wasn't any hot water. The front desk said to let it run for a minute and it would warm up. I left it running for over 20 minutes with no luck. He said he wasn't management and couldn't help, and there was no other solution. I booked through Expedia (don’t do) and tried to get my money back for the stay. Ridiculous.
