We slept really well here, and the room had plenty of space for what we needed. The manager was also good about responding when I mentioned the sheet had a small stain that looked like spilled coffee. He brought a replacement right away. I told him the shower was draining slowly too, and he wrote down our room number and the problem. I appreciated that he took it seriously instead of just saying okay. We’d stay again. The fitness room is small, but I got a decent workout with the weights. Breakfast was pretty basic, with juices, sausage biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, a few muffins, waffles, and cereal. Fruit, yogurt, and flavored coffee creamer would’ve been nice. Still, the hotel is close to lots of places to eat, and those extras didn’t matter much to us. Thanks, baymont, for a good night’s sleep and helpful service.

For this price, I slept great. The mattresses were thick and soft, the internet was fast, and the place was clean without any odd smells. Breakfast was included, and the staff were really friendly. They even tried to track down a charger I’d left behind. The furniture looks like it’s from the 90s, but it’s been looked after. I paid about half what the Hampton Inn across the way costs, and this had everything I expected from a budget hotel.

That hot breakfast was good, but the shower is what I’ll remember. The pressure was so intense that I ended up washing up in a huge puddle down the street afterward. Dirt came right off, no soap needed. I’m surprised I still have any skin, and I’m pretty sure I lost all my hair too. Maybe “Blastosity” really is an engineering term, measured here in horsepower. This wasn’t just a shower, it was a baptism. Pretty amazing.

There are lots of places to eat within walking distance, more than a dozen, and Walmart is nearby. The location was great. The rest of the stay was another story. The rooms were tiny, and under the mattress cover were stains in all sorts of colors. It was very hot when we first walked in, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The chair at the desk had an armrest missing, and there weren’t many outlets. The halls and rooms smelled like mothballs or mildew, and the outside doors didn’t require a key. Please don’t stay here.

The location and bed were the good parts. It was handy to have a gas station, Walmart, and several quick places to eat nearby, and the bed was genuinely comfortable. Housekeeping seemed to be making an effort, but the room itself was in unacceptable, unsanitary condition. I found a roach in the bathroom before unpacking, then a spider there later. The bedside lamp couldn’t be used because it had a hole where the switch should’ve been, with no switch. The fridge temperature dial was missing, so it stayed cold enough to freeze all my food and drinks even after I moved them away from the freezer compartment. Two drinks had to be thrown out after the ice expanded and damaged them. The microwave was the worst. A spider crawled out the first time I used it while I was putting food in. The last time, as I took my food out, I saw a roach crawling nearby and then another one inside the door latch. That’s a serious cleanliness and health concern. There were also ant traps right on the breakfast counter, which made it seem like pests were still an unresolved problem. I put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but housekeeping still came into the room twice during our four-night stay. That felt like an invasion of my space. I didn’t report everything at the front desk because I knew the hotel was fully booked. I’d already contacted Wyndham customer service to try to change my reservation and knew rooms were scarce because of a nearby festival. I felt stuck in a room that fell far below basic maintenance and cleanliness standards. The bed and location were real highlights, and the hotel could be more enjoyable with proper pest control and repairs. As things are now, I wouldn’t stay again unless serious improvements are made.
