Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City DCA

The value was hard to beat for what we paid, and this wasn't our first visit. I expect we'll be back. Breakfast was good, the front desk team were all friendly, and I thought the parking price was reasonable. The garage itself feels tight, with more compact spaces than full size ones. The bed was much too stiff for me, and the pillows were flat. I travel with my own pillow, so that part wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the stay overall.

We used the laundry at the sister hotel next door after the front desk lady offered it, since the laundry room here was out of order. Having only one elevator available was annoying, too. The room and bathroom were really nice, and the TV and streaming setup was easy to use. Breakfast was just okay. I didn't like the eggs, and the waffle was kind of rubbery, but the potatoes, sausages, and bagels were nice. My couple of days of R&R were fine overall. If I come back, I hope the laundry and elevators are working.

I was in town for a loved one's burial at Arlington National Cemetery. The hotel staff didn't know why I was there, but they treated me with such care throughout my stay. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and prompt. I'm grateful I chose this hotel among the many options nearby.

Check-in staff were rude and unfriendly, and kept saying, “This is DC life!” I call it extorting your customers. Parking in the garage cost us $48, even though I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't include parking. Housekeeping didn't do a proper job: the shampoo bottle was empty and the bins had no trash bags. The free breakfast was nothing like the photos. It was mediocre and none of it was hot. This place felt like a scam. I don't recommend it.
