Hyatt Centric Arlington

We had a good stay here with our family. Erdal Şerbetçi and Christopher were polite, professional, and helpful at check-in and throughout our visit. They answered our questions and made us feel welcome. Later, when a problem came up, Berk Çerkez took care of it and helped resolve the situation. We really appreciate the effort and support from all three.

We asked for maid service twice, but when we returned late that evening the room still hadn’t been cleaned. We also had trouble using the shower comfortably because my wife and I are both tall, and we’d been assigned an accessible room with a shower that didn’t suit our height. Our room was right beside the elevator, so guests coming and going made a lot of noise through the night and it was hard to rest. We were disappointed and wanted to raise these concerns, and hope the feedback is helpful.

A plumbing problem in our room meant that, although the hotel was completely booked, Mahmut arranged for my parents and me to spend the first night at their sister Hyatt across town at a deeply discounted rate. He covered our Uber rides both ways, offered us free breakfast at the Hyatt Centric Arlington the next morning, and brought complimentary drinks while we waited for the car. When we checked into the Hyatt Centric the following evening, there was a personal note, a free bottle of wine, and an incredible display of artisan chocolate truffles in our room. That level of care continued through our five-night visit. Anything we showed even slight interest in from the hotel commissary was given to us free. Everyone at the front desk was warm, kind, friendly, hospitable, and a pleasure to deal with. Luiz "Beto" and Mahmut, the front desk and guest service supervisors, were rock stars. They treated us like family, which meant a lot since I was traveling with my elderly parents. This was probably the best customer service I’ve ever had, and I’ve traveled widely. It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely spot, convenient for DC attractions and a short, very enjoyable walk from Georgetown. I wish I could take the Hyatt Centric Arlington with me everywhere. Thank you for such wonderful five-star service.

What stood out most was the customer service. The staff handled requests really well. Our room was spacious and had a clean, pleasant feel, and breakfast was satisfying and neatly presented. I liked the small changes to the menu each day. There’s a subway station and a supermarket nearby, which made the location especially convenient.
