Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport

I called ahead with questions about parking, breakfast, and early check-in since I’m planning my first stay here. Virginia at the front desk explained everything so helpfully, and it was a pleasure talking with her. As a Globalist, I usually call hotels before a visit to get a feel for the front desk hospitality. This was the best response I’ve had, even before staying, so Virginia deserves a good review. I hope the actual stay is as good as that conversation.

The staff made the visit memorable, especially Beza and Virginia, and even the shuttle drivers and bartenders were welcoming. The hotel was quiet and clean, with comfortable rooms and Wi-Fi that worked perfectly. Softer sheets would’ve been nice. Reagan National Airport is close, the shuttle was easy to use, and the metro and walking paths are nearby. A great fit for families traveling through, and we’d happily come back.

Getting to and from Reagan airport was easy, and the shuttle driver and everyone else we met were hospitable. The hotel is only a couple minutes from the airport, near the metro, and steps from the George Washington Parkway if you want to run. Rooms are quiet, with nice toiletries, and the Wi-Fi is great. Beza, the nighttime bartender, is very sweet and welcoming, and makes a great martini. I’d recommend the crabcake appetizer with coleslaw on the side. My one small suggestion is softer sheets, since these felt a bit stiff.

The rooms were a little tight, but clean, comfortable, and had good views. Food at both lobby restaurants tasted good, though it was a bit pricey. Service across the departments was great, and Marcos was especially kind. He’s a housekeeper who helped us throughout the stay and deserves a raise.
