The room itself was well kept and had the usual Marriott amenities, and I’ve had a comfortable stay so far. The hotel is a strange mix of updated areas and worn, dated parts. It can be confusing to find your way around, with a circuitous route to some rooms. The exercise room is in good shape and better equipped than most, though the pull-up bar I was glad to see is too close to the ceiling to use properly. The meeting facilities are extensive, which makes it a good place to stay, but not the best.

We walked to and from the Marine Corps marathon, and the location was perfect for the race. The stay was wonderful, and I’d absolutely come back and recommend it. The concierge and front desk team were welcoming and helpful, and they encouraged and supported all the runners as we headed out on race morning. When we returned, they cheered for us and were proud of us. It made a real difference to all of us.

The only thing keeping this from five stars is the bathroom tub and shower, which could use an upgrade. Even the shower curtain should be replaced. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff very friendly. They let us check in very early, which we appreciated. A Lyft to the museums is about $9, and Georgetown is within walking distance. I recommend the hotel and would stay there again when I’m in DC. Great value for the price.

The restaurant inside the hotel, Connexion, was really good. I went both nights, having a burger and fries the first evening and a Reuben sandwich the next. The pool was nice, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself was nice, though the rooms were just alright, the beds weren’t great, and the pillows were too soft. Parking at $25 a night felt steep. It’s conveniently located near a Metro station.
