Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington at Rosslyn

We were very happy with our Easter Weekend stay and will definitely return. Our room was clean and pleasant, which mattered most to us. We thought the AC might be a problem, but a mechanical staff member came up quickly and showed us how to use the controls. He was pleasant and understanding. Breakfast was fresh and good, with the kitchen team keeping everything replenished. Donna went out of her way for us, as did Unis when checking us in. The other front desk staff, whose names I didn’t get, were also knowledgeable and pleasant. Everyone we dealt with did more than expected to make the stay wonderful.

We’ll be back for sure. The location is great, and you can walk to Rosslyn Metro Station. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. My microwave and stove weren’t working right, but Mr. David fixed them quickly and efficiently. The breakfast crew deserves applause, and everyone on the team was wonderful. Mohammed at the front desk was amazing!

I felt safe and cared for the whole time, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I travel for work every couple of months, and this is the best hotel I’ve been to in years. This trip meant more because I brought my three kids, ages 10, 9, and 8, to explore DC. I spent a lot of time choosing an area where they’d feel safe and comfortable, and I’m so glad I picked this place. The staff really took time to care about us. My kids felt welcome instead of like we had to hurry in and out, and they loved telling the front desk about their daily adventures. The staff were attentive and polite, including Larry at breakfast each morning. The rooms were spacious and amazing, and shopping, pharmacies, and the metro are close by. We stayed three nights, and I’ll definitely return.

My stay was affected by severe weather that made travel unsafe and effectively impossible, yet the hotel wouldn’t give a refund or offer any meaningful accommodation. This was outside my control, but they showed no empathy or flexibility and made no effort to help a customer with a legitimate reason to cancel. They took my money, then treated policy as more important than basic fairness when circumstances changed. For a brand like Marriott, that’s unacceptable. I expected professionalism and understanding, not rigid rules used to justify keeping my money. This was one of my worst hotel experiences, though the room had nothing to do with it. I’ll think twice before booking with Marriott again, and strongly recommend others do the same unless they’re willing to risk losing their money when life happens.
