Tellus by Executive Apartments

George at the front desk brought warmth and positivity to our everyday life. Greg and Anthony were also fantastic, quick to help, professional, and pleasant. That kind of consistency from the management team made a real difference. We had only small issues in the building, and they were fixed extremely quickly. It’s quiet, well run, and right by the metro. I lived at Tellus and couldn’t have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. We were lucky to call it home, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Getting around was easy from this safe location, with Courthouse Metro station within walking distance and a convenient way to go into DC without driving. The rooftop view is amazing, among the best in Arlington and DC, and I loved the modern apartment layout, hardwood floors throughout, and no carpet. It really felt like living in a luxury hotel, helped by the crew that kept the building clean every day. The leasing office was outstanding. Myisha helped us find an apartment at the best price and answered our questions and concerns. She and Greg were involved with the complex’s events, too. The 24-hour concierge team was welcoming and kept our packages safe. Reneé and Jackie were especially nice, and I’ll miss our brief chats. The maintenance men handled our service requests properly and as quickly as they could.

The neighborhood is hard to beat, with the police station next door, Clarendon within walking distance, and Georgetown about a 10-minute bike ride away. I never had noise problems, and the few maintenance requests I made were handled the same day. The quieter atmosphere this time around suited me, though the building had a livelier, younger crowd when I first lived there. I just finished my second stay at Tellus in four years, and was very happy with both. I moved in midway through the pandemic and got a great deal on the largest one-bedroom, which worked perfectly for working from home. They were careful about Covid restrictions, but booking the amenities was easy. Melanie remembered me from my first stay, and Jamal was an excellent manager the second time. I’m a little sad to leave.

If you get locked out after business hours, it can take over an hour to get back in, and they won’t give you an ETA. Rent also has to be paid by cashier’s check, with no online option. These are the least tenant-friendly policies I’ve dealt with at an apartment complex. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this building.
