DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville - Biltmore

We come back every year because we enjoy this hotel. The staff are friendly and the customer service is wonderful. Our room was cleaned each day, with fresh towels, and it was nice to return after a day in Ashville to a made-up bed. Food bought on site is a little pricey.

Stephen and the rest of the team made me feel welcome. Customer service was top notch, and he handled my few requests quickly and with a smile. The lobby is nice, and the location is great. I think the rooms are due for renovation, but mine was clean and comfortable.

The people at this hotel made our anniversary stay easy and worry free. Stephan was stellar at check-in, kind and helpful, and arranged cookies and upgrades for us. When we checked out, Carla was gracious and shared more about the area's history. She also thanked my husband for his military service, which he doesn't always hear, and comped our breakfast for our anniversary. The Double Tree is fortunate to have them. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, and upscale without being pompous. It was easy to reach from the interstate and convenient for getting to the Biltmore Estate. We'd definitely stay again.

The location was wonderful and easy to get to, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We paid for a double room and added a view for an extra charge. The room was a decent size and the beds were very comfortable, but the view was just tall, bare shrubs. The room smelled strongly of cat urine. The ceiling looked like it was losing paint or might have a mold problem, the bathroom grout was black on the floor and in the shower, and the toilet seat was broken. This was a disappointing way to spend my birthday, especially after several people recommended the hotel. Hilton contacted me, but offering points for my account wasn't a good solution to me. I won't stay there again.
