Hyatt Place Asheville/Downtown

I spent six weeks here during a work trip and was fortunate to have such a good place to stay. It's walkable to downtown, with great food and drinks nearby, and the location is perfect. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained, though they show their age next to the nearby Embassy Suites. That doesn't take away from the warm hospitality. Ms. Julie, Lynn, Michayla, and other team members made sure I was well taken care of. Housekeeping cleaned my room impeccably every day without me having to ask, which I really appreciated after work. For business travelers, I'd recommend the 2-room mountain-view option. There's a comfortable work area and amazing views. Self-parking is easy, and valet is available in season. Thank you kindly.

I loved my stay. The hotel is in a handy spot for walking around downtown Asheville. The dining was great too, with a diverse selection of delicious food, and the hostess and staff were accommodating. Everyone at the hotel was welcoming, professional, and attentive.

We really enjoyed this hotel and would look for the chain when we travel again. The location is gorgeous, the area felt safe, parking was convenient, and Harrah’s Center was an easy walk away. Everything was clean, and the room worked perfectly for us. The fold-out couch was useful, and I was glad the spacious, clean bathroom had an exhaust fan. The warm cookies and complimentary water at check-in made us feel good about our choice. We joked about disguising ourselves to come back for more and asking for cookies at checkout. My only wish was for complimentary breakfast. Instead, we ate at a nearby restaurant, which we wouldn't have tried if the hotel had a buffet. It was nice to support local business, though $16 each for the kids, who were 12 and 14, and us was more than we'd planned to spend. If it had just been the two of us, we probably would have tried the hotel's restaurant. Highly recommend staying here!

Lynn greeted us at reception and treated us like royalty, especially since it was my husband's birthday. She has such a warm heart and an infectious smile. We also had a great time chatting with Candy and others at the bar, and Candy made excellent drinks. We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Doubletree and totally recommend it.
