The hotel sits a little out of the way, and we had to drive past an old U-Haul facility to get there. Still, it made up for that with a wonderful view of the Columbia River, bridge, and forebay. The older property was lovely, our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed and linens felt luxurious. Staff were welcoming and courteous. If you’re there after 5pm, don’t miss the smoked salmon chowder.

The warm pool, hot tub, and sauna were a lot of fun, and the library even has a public computer. We also found the Wi-Fi fast and dependable. Our room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable enough that I slept as well as I do at home. Everyone we met on staff was friendly. The free breakfast, served from 7-9 AM each morning, was a great start to the day. This was my best hotel stay, and I highly recommend the Liyod Hotel to anyone visiting Astoria.

We arrived in the early evening and were glad to find some salmon chowder left. It was fabulous. The rooms were good, and the employees were friendly. I also liked the woodwork around the doors, a welcome change from the usual generic look. The location is excellent.

This is my second stay here, and I love coming back. The rooms are perfectly clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great, and all the staff have been polite and helpful. If I could give more stars, I’d give them 100.

The rooms were extremely clean, and the beds really comfortable. Staff were friendly, courteous, and always ready to help. Breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever eaten at a hotel, and they even feed you dinner at 5 o’clock. I can’t say enough about this place. Thanks for making my visit so amazing. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in.
