The only downside was being right in front of the pool. Kids screamed nonstop all day and into the night, so you may want to ask for a room away from it. We stayed here for about three weeks after a tree fell on our house, and the people who work and manage the place were the nicest. The cleaning staff were courteous and kind. It was a wonderful experience, and the room was clean and spacious.

For a quick stay, it was fine, especially at the lower price. The bedsheets seemed quite clean and the AC worked fantastically. The wallpaper was peeling and spotty, the toilet was the industrial kind you'd find at a rest stop, and the shower head was cracked open in the middle and didn't seem trustworthy. The website said one king bed, but had reserved me a smoking room. Thankfully, the attendant let us switch to a non-smoking room. I wasn't expecting a magic carpet ride for that price.

The room was dated and dirty. The bathroom was kind of clean, but still not really clean, and the sheets had burn holes. The AC was okay, though it never got cold or did much. When I asked about it, the front desk guy said that was “OK.” Breakfast was poor too, and at $100 a night I'd expect more effort. The man at the counter didn't seem glad to see us and barely said anything, even when I asked about the area and the hotel. I've stayed in a four-star hotel in Tokyo for $48 a night, so this place felt like a complete waste of money. I'm tired of hotels charging over $100 when they should cost around $40.

We were glad we could check in late. We got there at 1am, though check-in was available until 3am, and we were exhausted and only staying for the night, so we didn't bother asking for another room. The front desk staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable, but our non-smoking room immediately smelled like pot. The bathroom was a mess: toothpaste and water splashed on the mirror, dirt in the sink, a dusty floor, and hair from heads and other places in the shower. It all felt pretty gross.

The location worked well, just 2.5 blocks from the Georgia theatre in downtown, and the price was great for a good room. The outdoor pool was really nice, and there was free breakfast from 6:30am to 11:00am. I was impressed. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom and rest of the room were clean too. I'd recommend it.
