Eden at the front desk was so thoughtful. He offered me water before I asked and went out of his way to point me toward a good place for a late-night drink after the bar had closed. Ashley was the other highlight. She’s the best bartender on the planet, with warm energy and a fun personality that makes every guest feel like the most important person in the room. She makes phenomenal drinks, remembers people’s favorites, and creates the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay at the bar all night. She’s a real gem, the sort of employee any hotel would want. I had a wonderful trip to Athens, GA, and the team’s service made it exceptional. I’ll stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know.

We come every year for my daughter’s three-day swim meet at the university, and each visit has gone well. The hotel gets busy with lots of sports events happening at once, but the staff usually respond well when there’s a noise problem or complaint. The rooms are clean and generously sized, and the staff are generally friendly. It’s also convenient, just a seven-minute drive to the pool, or you can walk to get food.

Right in downtown Athens, this Springhill Suites has plenty of covered parking, elegant rooms, all the amenities, and a highly professional staff. The modern furnishings give it its own feel while still offering the Marriott touches I expect, and more. It may not be seen as the top of the Marriott chain, but this location is outstanding. When I travel to Athens, GA, this is the only place I’ll stay. No question.

I’m a high-tier member and stay at Marriotts all the time. Everything was routine and pleasant until payment. I made a point of asking for the final price, but they gave me the wrong amount because of a lack of training. Now I have to cancel this stay and book somewhere else. This isn’t okay. Train your staff properly, or you’ll lose business. I’m very disappointed.
