JP made up for a lot with a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The customer service was excellent, and I'd recommend the staff to anyone. The room, though, needs work, and I'm unlikely to stay again. The bathroom was cramped, the tub and toilet needed replacing, the ceiling had a crack, and my sheets were stained. The room felt tired and didn't have enough light, at least where I stayed. I also didn't like the design window between the bathroom and bedroom: it left the toilet visible, and using the light in the middle of the night lit up the whole room and disturbed sleep. The remote didn't work well with the TV, and Netflix wasn't working. A simple, elegant design could give the room a classy look.

The lobby looked nice and the rooms were clean, but the hallways and elevators seemed a bit run down. The real problem was how little sleep I got. People in the hallway were so loud that I was woken up multiple times at night. I can't tell whether it was the doors or the kind of people staying there, but I've never experienced anything like it at a hotel. I go to Vegas every year and it's much quieter there. If sleeping isn't important to you, it's a great place to stay.

The staff were amazing throughout. They greeted me everywhere, were attentive to our concerns, and made sure we were taken care of. I can't praise them enough. The rooms, though, tried for a modern, stylish look but felt cheap rather than upscale because of the heavy use of inexpensive finishes. Our HVAC wouldn't stay on, switching itself off and never getting close to the temperature we wanted, whether heating or cooling. Being on the 10th floor near the rooftop bar was annoying because it was loud, especially during a masquerade ball. The restaurant was disappointing too: my daughter was served undercooked chicken tenders. They fixed the issue, which we appreciated, but that's a basic food safety expectation and shouldn't have been missed.

We were at the hotel for an event at Rose and Rye, but didn't stay overnight. The hotel looked beautiful, classy, well decorated, and pristine. Valet parking was sold out that evening, though parking wasn't too bad. The gentleman at the Valet stand directed us where to go. Walking up a small hill in five-inch stilettos was a challenge, but doable. The lounge view was fantastic and made a perfect photo opportunity. I'd plan to stay here another time. Thanks!
