Sunset Inn

We lasted less than five minutes. There was a dead mouse in the room, and they still wouldn't refund us.

My boyfriend and I arrived to check in, but the man at the booth rudely brushed us off and said there was no reservation. I showed him the booking on my phone, and he took it and canceled it right there. He said they were overbooked and told us to leave. When I asked to use the restroom, he refused and threatened to call the cops if we didn't go. There was no compassion for what was clearly a Priceline error. Before arriving, I'd tried calling the hotel to ask about fees, but the phone just rang. The one time someone answered, they were unprofessional and didn't identify the establishment. I asked whether I'd reached sunset inn, and they hung up. Horrible customer service.

We were charged $40 for being “late,” which felt like a scam, especially since many other reviews mentioned the same fee. The guy at the front desk was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The place looked sketchy from the start, the shower didn't work, and the bed wasn't comfortable. This was the worst place I've stayed. Find somewhere else, or it'll spoil your mood about going back to AC.

The room felt gross, so I left before midnight and couldn't stay. Paint was stained, the doors and walls were unclean, the ceiling was crumbling, and there were no bathroom towels. The online price was $32 a night, supposedly about $67 total, but once there I had to call a number for someone to come give me a key. They required a $40 cash deposit, and the room price wasn't refundable. I was out $75 and can only hope I still get that deposit back.
