Rodeway Inn Auburn Hills - Detroit

We had affordable peace and quiet, and my family and I appreciated the service during our stay. The staff were friendly and professional. Rima at the front desk was my favorite by far, such a sweet, caring person. She’s straightforward and fair. I’d definitely recommend this place.

The building has an older style, but it feels homey, and the doors have fresh paint that makes them look bright and welcoming. The staff are helpful and friendly. There’s always hot coffee ready, plus a little shop in the lobby with fair prices.

I felt unsafe as soon as I arrived. The room door wouldn’t shut all the way, and the handle was loose enough to seem like it might come off. The shower was yellow and there was no curtain. I asked for a refund, but they refused and offered another room instead. That room had holes in the wall and was disgusting. I didn’t want to touch anything. This place should be condemned.

The place was much better than I expected, and the staff are cool, from Pauline at the front desk to the housekeepers and maintenance guys. Having McDonald’s so close and Speedway right across the street is super convenient.
