The Bertram Inn & Conference Center Trademark Col

This place was a letdown. My work booked the room for the weekend during the snowstorm, and it was old and badly dated. There was no microwave or fridge, barely any channels, a small TV, and no alarm clock. The chair wobbled and felt like it might break. There were fingerprints all over the bathroom door, the wallpaper was peeling, and the sink was cracked. The ice machine on floor 3 was broken. No room service or breakfast. The towels were small, hard, and smelly, and the little bathrobe was falling apart, lmao. I found dust on the ceiling and mold on the floorboard.

The key cards failed twice, even after the front desk reprogrammed them. On the second trip back, they gave us new cards and sent maintenance along, saying there was a problem with the door. If they know the door is broken, why keep renting the room? We paid inflated prices and got lousy service. The mini fridge was sitting on the desk in our room, while our friends had theirs on the floor. We were there because the room had been reserved for a wedding. The hotel looks nice outside, but inside it feels very tired and should have been updated years ago. It’s way overpriced and not worth more than Motel 6. Lower the price or the expectations. We won’t stay again or recommend it.

The worn carpet and very dim hallways make the place feel neglected. Doors are scuffed all over, wallpaper is peeling, and the bathtub won’t drain, so you end up showering in standing water. The hotel is extremely dated, and it feels like no money or care has gone into improving it.

The music was poor, the drinks were bad, and the whole reception felt unwelcoming. We had to wait in the hallways and staff kept hounding us to hurry up for taking too much time. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for a wedding reception.
