I’m in hotels for work a lot, and I rarely say this, but the staff here were amazing. They really try to help however they can, and don’t seem eager to say no. Key was especially sweet and accommodating, like a cool girlfriend to me and my coworkers. The hotel welcomes dogs, as does the staff, but I didn’t find many suitable green spaces where I felt my dog was allowed. Rooms were small but newer, with big windows, and parking in the garage was pricey. We also had access to a cool rooftop bar next door at the Otis. If work brings me back to Austin, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

The location is great, close to campus and the conference center, and I’d definitely stay here again. The rooms were really clean and neatly set up, thanks to a great housekeeping team. Service was exceptional. I didn’t catch the valet guys’ names, but they were all professional and kind, holding doors and opening car doors even for rideshares or when I was getting out of a friend’s car without using valet. Lala at the front desk was so sweet when checking me in and helping me find my way around. They even offered me water when I checked out for the rest of my trip.

A run of flight delays made me miss my first night, but Yanni was so helpful in updating my reservation at the last minute. She made that the easiest part of the whole mess. Once I arrived, check-in was a breeze, and the rest of my stay was full of considerate staff, good amenities, and easy access to the area. This was probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at. If I’m in Austin again, I’ll definitely stay here.

The location, exterior, and lobby are beautiful, and parking is free and felt safe. There’s no free breakfast or other guest perks. The rooms were clean, though housekeeping left the trash can on tables and on top of the toilet. Room 103 had no hot water and very low shower pressure. The bar on the 5th floor has a nice view, but getting there means taking a tiny, extremely slow elevator. The drinks are small and expensive.

The staff were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, and the location worked well too. It’s near UT Austin, with many restaurants within walking distance or a short ride away, so meals were easy to sort out. I stayed at AC Hotel Austin-University Area on a recent business trip, and it served that purpose well. My high-floor room was quiet, private, and comfortable for one person. The modern, minimal style reminded me of an Aloft hotel, with an efficient layout that was easy to settle into for work. I could focus in the room without distractions. This doesn’t feel like a vacation property, but it’s a solid choice for solo business travel or a short stay if you want simplicity, functionality, and a convenient location.
