The location was fantastic, and we didn’t have to pay the high parking fees you get at downtown hotels. Our suite was charming and comfortable, with a comfy bed and bedding. I spoke with the owner a couple of times before the trip and met him at breakfast. He was very nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed staying at the lovely, historic Brava House and would recommend it for a peaceful, comfortable visit.

I’ve never felt this strongly about a place in Austin. I love it more than SoHo house or any other hotel here, and I’ll recommend Brava House to everyone I know. The owners are incredibly kind, quick to respond, and happy to accommodate. It feels like a very special place, with such warm, almost sacred energy. The photos don’t do it justice at all. It’s that beautiful. The rooms are phenomenal, spotless, and so comfortable. I honestly can’t see myself staying anywhere else in Austin.

We stayed five nights for our daughter’s wedding, and the location was perfect, close to everything. We had the newer room, "Julian," behind the main house on the second floor. It had a treehouse feel, a private balcony, and a huge living room. Our in-laws stayed in the "Roselyn" room, so we could spend time together and get to know them. It all worked out so well. Bryan & Sherry have done a great job. Try to have a meal at Shoal Creek Saloon if you stay here. I’d happily come back.

We loved the neighborhood, too. It was very walkable even at night, and although Brava House is close to the city, it never felt especially noisy or difficult to drive to. We stayed in the gorgeous Casablanca Room, which felt cozy in every way, and the clawfoot bathtub was a highlight. My husband and I looked forward to returning there each day. It was our first visit to Austin, and I’m so glad we booked here. Sherry and Brian were wonderful hosts, kind, accommodating, and fun to chat with. We overslept on our last morning and missed breakfast, but Sherry still took time to talk with us as we left. She told us what we’d missed, made us feel included, and gave us a goodbye hug. Their son and granddaughter joined us for breakfast on our first day. When we asked where to go for dinner, he had a list ready, asked what we liked, and found a spot within walking distance. Little touches like that made us feel welcome and appreciated, and I hope they knew we appreciated them too. On the way home, my husband and I agreed that if we return to Austin, we’ll stay at Brava House. Really, the reason to return would be Brava House.

The owner, Bryan, was great, and we were very happy with the room. We stayed in the Casablanca Room from 9/19-9/22. It had a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower, plus plenty of towels and amenities. Breakfast was included each morning, with fresh fruit, bagels or muffins, yogurt and granola, and egg sandwiches. We loved the location. A block west of N Lamar, the quiet, pretty, shady neighborhood makes it hard to believe you’re in the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
