Seaside Beach House

Joanne was quick to respond from the time I booked the beach house through the end of our stay, and she was very nice whenever I had a question or issue. Jamie was also kind and accommodating, and please thank Steve as well. My family had a great time and we plan to return next year. The house was clean, pet friendly, and had a lovely backyard with a grill, table, and chairs. Being able to rinse off outside was a real plus for our big family. The beach is right there, and free passes and parking were included. For the price, it was hard to beat. It was a great place to relax on vacation with the family.

We had parking beside the house for five cars, and met a few of the upstairs tenants. Everything went smoothly, and I’m looking forward to coming back. The ground floor had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and an extra small fridge and stove in the rear bedroom apartment area. There are three floors, each with its own entrance. At the back were two gas grills and enough seats for everyone. Both the front and back doors had separate locks, and Joanne gave me two keys for each. She also asked whether we wanted separate keys for the bedroom doors. Since we were all family, we didn’t need those. Joanne introduced us to Steve, who handles maintenance, and Jamie, who cleans and provides towels and linens. She gave me her number and said to call if we needed anything. I’d found the Seaside beach house for a trip with my four children, their spouses, and four grandchildren, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Seaside feels much more family oriented than it did years ago.

We had a fabulous stay, and the beach house was right by the beach. It’s an easy two block walk to the boardwalk, where we were at Dunkin Donuts in no time. There aren’t wheelchair accessible entrances, but they did their best to accommodate us. Beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, and sand toys were stored under the deck, which was handy, so ask about them. We were there with my parents, my husband, and our two kids. I loved the way she set up the rooms: two rooms connected by a door that we could leave open or close for privacy. Can’t wait to come back.

The hospitality was a real strong point. The owners were honest, down to earth, and helpful, and the place felt safe and cozy. This is near the top end of the basic motel options in Seaside Heights, though it isn’t a five star hotel and doesn’t pretend to be one. The apartment room we stayed in was old and seemed to have changed over the years, but there were plenty of places to sleep and it had what you need. It was more like staying in an out of town friend’s bachelor apartment than a shiny corporate hotel. Everything was clean, but anyone uneasy about used blankets might want to bring their own sheets and blanket. For us, it worked great.
