Bay Breeze Motel

When we arrived at Bay Breeze Motel on 07/11/25 with my family, we wondered if we had the wrong place because it looked nothing like the photos on Expedia. A man at the front desk seemed high and couldn’t stand straight or speak clearly. He showed us a room that was dirty, had no AC, and offered limited access to the bathroom. The faucet was broken, with no handle to turn it on, and my sister hurt her finger trying. The room smelled of marijuana. We refused to stay and said we would report it. The man told us to leave and said he wouldn’t charge my credit card. Three days later, the owner called asking me to remove my Expedia review. I refused, and he charged me $704 for two rooms we hadn’t used. This place is horrible. I also saw one guest bringing the police there.

For $200 a night, I found a nail in the bed, trash in the room, and clothes someone had left behind. The room was dirty, and I feel dirty now. We told management, who apologized, but didn’t offer any compensation or discount for the uncleared room. That felt extremely unfair. Pictures below show what it was like. It really doesn’t take much to give guests a good experience or clean a hotel room properly.

The refrigerator wasn’t very cold, though it was fine for water bottles and soda. Apart from that, we’ll definitely stay again. The location was great and very quiet, the room had fresh updates and all new furniture, and the new mattress was really comfortable. My granddaughter loved the pool.

My daughter and I had a great time at this clean, quaint motel. It’s close to the boardwalk and all the local tourist spots, and the service was outstanding. After just one night, the owner, Happy, had become a dear friend. I’ll definitely come back to stay here and visit him. Happy and Bay Breeze Motel will leave you with memories you’ll cherish.
