The highway is the main thing to keep in mind: the hotel is one block from I-35 southbound, which made getting around Austin very convenient, but traffic noise could bother you if you're sensitive to it. My stay at the Residence Inn at Tech Ridge was very nice. The staff welcomed me right away, and the facility was very clean. My studio suite had a handy kitchenette, a comfortable place to sit, a well-equipped bathroom, and plenty of space. It isn't a luxury hotel, but it's a great fit if you want somewhere clean and comfortable with room to stretch out.

The breakfast was really good, and the location was nice. We paid a fair price, and the parking lot is large. The staff were friendly across the board, especially the receptionists, who were nice and explained everything. We stayed in two rooms. The facility doesn't seem very modern, and some rooms are outdated and need maintenance. Some furniture was really beaten up, too. Still, our stay was great.

The front desk person was very kind and made the stay worthwhile, but Marriott should do better for the price. The TVs are ancient, the furniture is overused and should be discarded, and there was a big hole in the carpet. The rooms badly need a makeover. Opening and closing the doors takes so much force that they said you have to handle them hard, and they make a lot of noise. I'm sure it disturbed other guests.

Amber, the manager, went out of her way to bring us extra towels, blankets, toiletries, and more, which made the place feel like home. The room was clean, and the pull-out bed worked for our 11 and 9 year old. For a centrally located hotel, it was an outstanding value. We'd definitely stay again.

Amber at the front desk is an absolute delight. The staff's vibe and the check-in experience mean everything to me, and she was great. We love the hotel, and the rooms are lovely with some big, nice TVs. It would be nice to get smart TVs in an update. We appreciate you, Amber!
